UPDATE: Aquabot Pool Demon Still Blowing Fuse After Changing To A New Power Cord
by: Anonymous

I disconnected both the Drive Motor and The Pump and hooked them up separately to the transformer.
The pump was fine - WARNING: if you do this, do not run the pump for more than a second or two.
When I hooked up the drive motor, bingo - blown fuse.
Apparently the gear box in the motor seizes over time. I know - I invested in two motors in 7 years.
The guy at Aquaquality said there is no way to obtain that part, as they want you to buy the entire new drive motor.
Well, I caved and bought the new motor and retrofit kit because I simply have too much money invested in the Robot. (Extra cable, tune up kits, etc.)
$297.00 plus tax later, the Demon is back in action.
The new motor is much smaller and uses no oil in the case.
In hindsight I guess it's worth it, the pool is clean again, and I sat and relaxed.
It all comes down to how much your time is worth to you.
I have to say, the prices for this stuff are ridiculous.
$60.00 for a pair of rubber brushes for the rollers? Come On!
If anyone wants a tutorial on the motor install let me know... Good Summer everyone.
