Pool Demon Model T

Product was fine for about 3 months, then both motors failed, oil coated our pool from "unleakable" motors. Al Bar, a service manager at Aquaproducts did everything he could to prevent this unit from being repaired, to the extent that he neglected to inform FedEx of major shipping damage and instead blamed the customer for poor treatment of the unit. This was a major lemon and should have been replaced, but Aquaproducts saw fit to completely screw the customer hoping that they can avoid the expense associated with replacing that unit. We have to show companies like this that the cost of screwing a customer is far higher than actually doing the right thing and replacing a defective item. Let them know when you have received a >$1000 item that performs poorly. Let them know we won't stand for poor warranties and insulting customer support. Use your $ to vote for companies that stand behind their products.

Aquabot was a disappointmrnt
by: Anonymous

Mine lasted 3 seasons. (Aquabot standard)
Into the 2nd season, I had to replace the drive belts (20.00) These were simple plastic belts that probably cost them 1.95/pair, but what are you going to do when the company wants to make 1000% markup. By the end of the 2nd season, it wouldn't move properly, so I had to replace the drive tracks, $23.00 each, then it was the bushings. So now, the beginning of the 4th season, I replaced the roller brushes, $80.00. Drive belts again, $20.00, misc rollers and bushings, new filter bag, $50.00. The total this summer was 279.00 with shipping from NJ. So here it is June 6th, 2010 and the drive motor is shot. They want $290.00 for it. Once I but this, I'll have spent almost $600.00 bucks this year alone ans the pump motor will probably go after that. Not to mention, I am doing all the labor myself. I called Aquabot and spoke with a guy when I bought the $290.00 worth of parts and he stated that the pump and drive motors usually last 7 years. I can assure you that this unit has always been well maintained. I am highly disappointed and would NOT recommend this purchase to anyone.
