I too have had this problem for a long time and yes it does help if you turn it over shortly and bring it in upside down it’s also possible to put something under the robot as you lift it out of the pool like a towel to stop the dirt from falling out of the bottom it can be very frustrating after you get the pool nice and clean to see all that dirt fall back in

prevent dirt from leaving dolphin on removal by: Anonymous
Before removing the unit from the water, you need to slowly turn it upside down and lift it from the tracks out of the water. Once you set it rightside up on a clean pool deck, you'd be amazed of all the dirt you've been dumping back into your pool.

Dirt Falls From Robot Back Into Pool by: Anonymous
I have the same issue. My Dolphin diagnostic cleans the pool well, but when I take the cleaner out of the pool alot of the smaller particles of dirt and debris fall right back into the pool. Checked bottom flaps and they are closed. Any suggestions?

prevent dirt falling out by: Anonymous
In order to limit dirt falling out from robot, I use to remove the bag when the robot is still in the water by returning it and holding it horizontal just at the water surface by one hand holding one brush and pushing the other one against the side of the pool. In this position, it is easy to remove the bag with the other hand, avoiding dirt coming out from the flaps and the seal of the bag as well
