Dolphin DX3 Not Working

My dolphin is 13 months old and has worked perfectly until this point. I put the cleaner in the pool and shortly thereafter found it stopped with the front roller out of place. I took it out of the pool placed the roller back into position and made sure that it rolled freely. I go to the control box and press power button and as i press the status button to cycle one i hear a loud knock on the back of the panel. Now the power light comes works properly (on and off) but the status light is non existent no matter of me pressing the button or not and the machine doesnt move. can you please help?

can you recommend a non "throw away" model please?

You will have to take this machine to a repair facility. Just so you know, the DX3 is considered a "throw away" model because often the cost to repair is equal to or greater than a new machine.
