Brand new dolphin robotic popping wheelies by: Anonymous
Started popping wheelies right out of the box. I'm so not happy with this. It tends to scatter all the bugs and dirt around rather than run it over. I wouldn't recommend any of these dolphin robotic cleaners. Very expensive pieces of junk.

Wheelies by: admin
The only time I have seen wheelies is when the pump is not working and therefore, no suction to hold down the robot

new dolphin does wheelies by: Anonymous
i recently purchased the dolphin S50 from poolside in mebane nc. This dolphin was doing wheelies right out of the box. The pump appears to be working. So I would think this is a design flaw. I read another review where it said that the manufacturer provided a brass weight to hold the dolphin down so it would not do wheelies. Which appeared to work. So I attached small weights (2) to the front and back of my dolphin which had the same result. I would be interested in getting one of these brass weights for a neater solution. This review is my personal experience with this particular dolphin.

wheelies by: ADMIN
The only time I have seen an Aquabot pop "wheelies" is when the pump isn't working properly. If the pump is intermittent then suction that holds the robot to the pool surface is lost and the robot will stand up.

Dolphin popping wheelies by: Anonymous
Mine is popping wheelies in one direction only. The direction with the large wheels forward seems to be the only time it pops wheelies. Very frustrating, one year old, never had the issue last year.

Popping wheelies and not cleaning properly by: Vince A.
I had the same issue. Sent it back to Maytronics for warranty, they glued a brass weight under the robot. Was never happy with my DX4. It hardly ever climbed to the top of the pool to scrub the tiles, during the 8 years I ownd it, I sent it in for repairs and service 4 times. Each time costing about $300. Every 2 years the DX4 tends to just run from one end of the pool to the other end in a straight back and forth path about 4ft wide. Don't waste your money on a DX4. I was much happier with a Kreepy Krauly.

check the pump by: ADMIN
Hold the robot near the surface but submerged and operating. See if the pump stops pumping. If it does then your repair options are limited to replacement of the motors or a new machine

Pump by: ADMIN
An intermittent pump will casue this condition. The pump provides the suction that holds the robot to the floor and wall
