Dolphin looks like it works...but no

Dolphin worked at the end of last year. It needed some new climbing rollers, which lead to a busted carriage assembly. We ordered it and installed it our selves. Did not seem to be a problem but now what is supposed to go in the bag stays outside the bag in the unit. Impeller gets debris clogged on it quickly. We don’t know it that is the chicken or the egg..
