Controller Board
by: Randy Bardley

The most likely cause is a failure of the controller board inside the motor. It is a small integrated circuit board inside the motor. Maytronics does not sell the internal motor components nor do they service them. Please see my other postings for recommended service options.

Dolphin stops after a few seconds - fixed

Your power connector on the robot (the one behind the screw-in cap) is likely corroded. This connector fails feequently. You will have to unscrew the cap, take out the connector, wash out any corroded parts and replace it. I had to use individual crimp-on pins from an automotive connector. This is a custom connector (not available afaik), so be sure to keep the red triangular part to rebuild the connector.
Pack with Vaseline and screw the plug back in.

Check the power supply to ensure it is not tripping to off which can happen if wet. Could be the motor drive that has failed. I had same condition and replaced the MD, it corrected the problem..
