no random pattern

My Dolphine works fine at picking up debri, climbing walls, going in straight line length/width of pool etc. It just will not "enter into a random" pattern in order to clean entire pool. It appears to want to "dock" at the end of cycle at or very near the exact same place it was previously. It only wants to go in straight lines the lenth/width of pool and stays in the same "lane",eg it doesn't "walk across" the pool to cover the entire bottom.

It seems that the memory has lost it's random sequencing patterns or at least the switching to get into it.
