Tangled cord

My less than a year old turbo t 4rc started tangling its power cord. Unit cleans well except that ultimately the wire becomes so tangled it stops the unit. Have unplugged and straightened out wire two days in a row without success. Any ideas?
ADMIN REPLY: Roll out the cable when you start so it is flat and not coild in the water. I walk half the lenth of the pool and back and then kick the cable into the water. When finished, re-coil starting at the robot working the twists out to the plug end.
FINALLY...changing the handle position will change the cleaning track.
