Track gets tight and robot stops

Drive track on one side gets tight and the robot stops. After inspection I noticed one drive track had come out of the position and wore a grove in the track. I took side cover off and repositioned the drive track. I put it in pool and robot moved back and forth for less than a minute and stopped. Upon inspection the same side drive track was tight with no slack the other side was fine. Took track off again flipped it around to change the groove worn in it to other side of the pulley put into pool same thing. Track got tight and robot stopped.
Pulleys are clean and move freely. Would it be worth it to replace both tracks with new ones?
Not sure what else to try.
Any ideas out there?

Richard
